FACT:

Any moderately fit dog can do agility- size does not matter.

The kennel club recommend that dogs should be over 12 months of age before starting to train.

Welcome to the Oakamoor and District Dog Agility Club (ODDAC) website

Oakamoor and District Dog Agility is a small friendly club based between Cheadle and Alton Towers in Staffordshire.

All breeds of dogs with a basic level of obedience are welcome. Most people assume border collies are the only breed that can do agility, but over the years, dogs ranging from tiny Yorkshire Terriers to Great Danes have competed. As long as the dog is fit and healthy there is no reason why it cannot be trained to do agility.

Most dogs have great fun doing agility and they form a strong relationship with their agility handler.

Agility handlers can also be any age or fitness level, as dogs can be trained to work either close to the handler or at a distance.
